We were commissioned to sell the personal property of the Morris Lamprey Estate.   This auction represents five generations on the same farm.   Mr. Lamprey was widely known for his Belgian draft horses and the wide assortment of carriages, wagons, carts, and related material used for work, pleasure, and show.   The auction will also include a few select local estate additions.

CARRIAGES, ETC.:  Excellent show wagon; custom show oil tank wagon; assorted work wagons; rubber tire hayride wagons; (2) sleighs; double-seat wagon by C.F. Worthen of Amesbury, MA; (3) buggies – one by Charles H. Lord & Co. of Newburyport, MA, buckboard and others; (18) pair of team-horse harnesses w/brass hame tips; (13) single-horse harnesses; fly nets; show crates; etc.

FARM EQUIPMENT:  New Holland 474 hay binder; International bailer; Kuhn GF 440T tedder; (6) hay wagons; (2) new Pequea 606 wagon gears; horse-drawn hay rakes, mowing machines, log skid, cultivators, row maker, snow scoop, harrow, etc.   Gas powered ice saw & related equipment; wagon jacks; harness bench; wagon & tractor seats; old gasoline pump and large anvil.  

ITEMS OF INTEREST, ETC.:  Important pair of portraits of a sea captain and his wife attributed to William Jennys (possibly Moulton of Newburyport); (3) Chippendale mahogany ball & claw foot chairs w/shell carving descended from Dr. Benjamin Franklin Bassett of NY (matching chair in NY Historical Society Collection); New Hampshire tall clock w/painted iron dial and satin wood paneled door; set of (6) decorated thumb back chairs in yellow paint; two-drawer blanket chest in red paint w/grained decoration; Queen Anne cabriole leg drop-leaf table; Queen Anne Spanish foot side chair w/carved crest; counter top desk in red paint w/smoke decoration; paneled door cupboards; important personal collection of wood carver Ivah Spinney, 1881-1963, of Portsmouth, NH (in the manner of John Bellamy) to include full-bodied eagle w/36” wingspan; 38” tall eagle on ball; 26” gilded wall eagle; carved wall eagle w/45” wingspan; other small eagles; 28” high carved mahogany ram’s head; ship in a bottle (2) and tramp art doll’s chests.    Wonderful appliqué quilt and other quilts; dovetailed sea chest belonging to Capt. J.
